How to Change or Reset Facebook Password
Changing or resetting your Facebook password is a straightforward process that can be done from within the app or via the Facebook website.
To change your password if you're already logged in to Facebook:
- Scroll to the bottom of your Facebook screen.
- Tap on "Settings & Privacy".
- In the next screen, select "Password and security".
- Tap "Change Password".
- Type in your current password, followed by your new password, and re-enter the new password to confirm it.
- Tap "Save Changes" to complete the process.
If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it by following these steps:
- Go to Facebook's login page.
- Tap "Forgot Password?"
- Type in the email address, mobile phone number, full name or username associated with your Facebook account, then tap "Search".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
Keep in mind that, for security reasons, you won't be able to use the same mobile phone number that you use for two-factor authentication to reset your password. You'll need to have a different mobile phone number or email address added to your account to reset your password in case you ever need to.
